In Full Effect
In Full Effect aired from Copenhagen, Denmark from May 1988 to May 1989 on 90.2 FM Radio BNR (Balleruo Naer Radio), a local radio station with a reach of about 30km. The show aired from 10pm-midnight and was hosted by 18-year-olds Marcelino Ballarin (later a hip-hop comic book writer and feature film director with "Slim Slam Slum", 1994-2002) and record collector Anders Bakfelt.
They interviewed De La Soul (who also did a jingle for the show), Bomb The Bass, and local groups, producers, and DJs, most notably the producer Soulshock (2PAC, Queen Latifah, etc.). In Full Effect was 100% pure hip-hop on vinyl, live rap on the phone or in the studio, and mixtapes on cassettes.
